Stephanie Geneseo, BS

"Mrs. Steffy" | she/her

Owner, Director, Administrator, Lead Infant Teacher, Co-Founder ANI Initiative

Mrs. Steffy (Stephanie Geneseo) is the owner, Director/Administrator, and Lead Infant Teacher of ANI FCC. She earned her Associates of Arts in Child Development from Mountain State University in 2010, while also earning her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University simultaneously. Mrs. Steffy regularly participates in countless continuous education credits in the field far above the regulatory 10 HRs per year. Mrs. Steffy has worked on multiple advocacy coalitions throughout her years that further advanced not only her educational efforts but also her community outreach as well. From 2015 to 2018, Stephanie created the first, and only Family Childcare Conference in the tri-state area. From 2018 to current, Stephanie has participated in the Terri Lynn Lokoff Foundation as a past recipient winner and volunteer candidate reader. In 2019, Stephanie was a winning recipient of the Leading for Children Advocacy award, for her project on Parent Engagement and literacy. The award led to a publication in the NAEYC book, Families & Educators Together: Building Great Relationships that Support Young Children.  In 2021, Stephanie was chosen to be an inaugural member of the NAFCC Leaders Shaping Leaders cohort to represent the state of Ohio where she then served as a fellow for the continued 2022 year. In 2022, Stephanie was appointed onto the board of WV TEAM, additionally, she was elected onto the board of OAEYC. She also became a member of ECE coalition, a member of Family Childcare Network, a member of the Farm to Table Coalition. She also serves on the Groundwork Ohio Council & Fellowship.

Ashley Wellman, MBA, M.Ed.

Administrative Assistant, Lead Younger/Older Toddler Teacher, Co-Founder ANI Initiative

"Ms. Ashley" or "Ash" | she/her

Ms. Ashley (Ashley Wellman) is the Administrative Assistant, Lead Younger/Older Toddler Teacher, of ANI, FCC. She earned her Associates of Arts in Social Sciences from Ohio University in 2011, while simultaneously earning her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Following, Ashley earned her Master's of Education in Counseling & Human Development with a specialization in Mental Health Therapy from CACREP accredited Lindsey Wilson College in 2014. Serving more than 2000 hours of professionally supervised training and passing her national licensure boards, she became a Nationally Board Certified Mental Health Counselor. Ashley has three years professional experience working with children and adolescents at risk of or who have suffered from sexual abuse or trauma, or have been exposed to a life of foster care. She most recently graduated with her MBA from Walden University with a concentration in Human Resource Management. Ashley further has eight years of professional experience working with adults and children with intellectual / developmental disabilities and or autism. In that experience she earned  her national certification in Positive Behavior Support. She also has six years experience of Executive leadership. In 2021, Ashley was chosen to be an inaugural member of the NAFCC Leaders Shaping Leaders cohort to represent the state of Ohio, along side her mentor, Mrs. Steffy. During her time as an active fellow, Ashley traveled to San Francisco, California with Mrs. Steffy to present the ANI Initiative, a project inherently derived from the minds of both Ashley and Mrs. Steffy's education and experiences alike. Ashley serves on the Groundwork Ohio Council & Fellowship.

Amber Estep

"Miss Amber" or "Amber" | she/her

Lead Pre-K Teacher

Miss Amber (Amber Estep) is an astoundingly established Lead Teacher in our community that we have recently brought on to our team. Amber has a collective ten years plus of experience working in childhood education, from ages infants to pre-k. Amber has earned her Associates in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. In addition, Amber has earned her CDA with specializations in both Pre-K and Infant to Toddler, and is interested in expanding her educational goals in the future years within childhood education. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her daughter, as well as devoting time to her Boutique in which she makes a plethora of custom designs and creates t-shirts and sweatshirts.  Amber holds all of her state and federal certifications and trainings needed to be a Lead Teacher, and will continue to uphold those on a regular basis, including but not limited to a clear background check and medical history.

Katie Elder

Summer Substitute

Katie has been with us for two years! We are so excited to have her and her exuberant joy back with us. Katie teaches full time at Grace Christian Schools during the school year, and has for three years.Teaching in early childhood, she states, is truly her passion. She loves the aspect of teaching through play, and believes there is no greater reward than to witness your child master new skills and hit various developmental milestones. Some of her interests include reading books, camping, and arts & crafts.

Arlan Geneseo

"Mr. Arlan" | he/him

Substitute

Husband to Mrs. Steffy, Mr. Arlan is the handyman and construction genius of the ANI Nest! He takes care of nearly all of our construction work including needed updates, honey-do lists, and Pinterest inspirations for our wildest dream come trues here! He certainly makes sure we always have what we intend to have, ready to go. Additionally, in the off chance that substitute caretaking is needed, Mr. Arlan temporarily steps in. He is up to date on all of his professional development trainings through the state of Ohio including but not limited to CPR/First Aid, Child/Infant/& Adult CPR First Aid, and Abuse & Neglect.
